Linden Tours is having a collaboration with the American Embassy in Singapore to have a U.S. University Fair on the 1st March (yes, tomorrow!), at 1.30~5pm.
Location: Mandarin Oriental Singapore (the one opposite Pan Pacific)

The Fair itself starts at 2pm, while Admission Officers will give a "Insider Tips" presentation at 1.30pm.

Chinese New Year Helpers needed
Mr Lin needs 4 students to help out in a Chinese calligraphy event on the 23rd Jan, CNY Celebration Day. The event will last about 2 hrs and CIP 4 Hours will be given. He needs them by this Friday. Anyone interested contact me ASAP. :)

National Vertical Marathon!
Hi all there will be the annual National Vertical Marathon @ Republic Plaza, Raffles Place on 8 Feb, Sunday! The Inter-JC category is $16 per person. And free goodie bags will be given to all participants, including a shirt! "Hi, This is Gracia Chua here. Enterprise Sports Group is recruiting ppl to help out in the STANDARD CHARTERED MARATHON 2008. We have several events in conjunction with the actual marathon such as the packing of the race packs and the race expo which is to give out the race packs. We need help urgently as the event is coming up and lots of planning needs to be done. Most importantly, the whole event cannot happen or be successful without ur help. The following are the details of the events prior to the STANDARD CHARTERED MARATHON.
Event: Packing Day
Date: 28 nov to 1 dec
Day: Friday to Monday
Pax needed: 20 ppl needed
Pay: $30 per day
Time and venue to be confirmed
Event: Race Expo
Date: 4 to 6 Dec
Day and time: Thursday to Friday time is 10am to 10 pm
Saturday time is 8 am to 8pm but may drag since it is a weekend
Pax needed: 26 ppl needed
Pay : $30 per day
Time and venue to be confirmed
Event: Race Day
Date: 7th Dec
Day: Sunday
800 ppl needed (this is why i think our class can make it hahaa, 800 confirm got enough slots)
Pay: $20

Ok. I know that u guys are thinking that the allowance is very little and it is not worth doing for such long hours but I want to let u know that ADIDAS shirts and merchandises will be given out to all helpers and also this is a one-time experience as every event is different. Also students will be entitled to CIP hours. I sincerely hope u guys can help out and also spread the message and bring your friends along as we really need a lot of manpower ok.
Another thing is that, if u realize, the days for expo and race day is back to back and u guys may want to do both events. So suggestions for people living in the west is that u guys dun go home as there will not be enough time so just hang out with your friend maybe catch a movie or something den u can proceed to the venue for the race as it will be quite early in the morning.
As to whether there will be enough vacancies, DON’T WORRY as we always need more people so call classmates, your neighbors, your relatives, your CCA friends whoever. If you can bring your whole school, that’s the best. If your have friends who have just finished their o level’s that would be most ideal as some of the days are weekdays and they will be able to go. The more the merrier alright. So go ahead and forward this mail to all your friends out there.
Now. I would need to know if you are interested. So I will need your name, ic number, contact number, email address, t-shirt size and the event that you are interested in doing. I have attached and excel spreadsheet together with this mail so what you can do is to include your friends and your particulars in the spreadsheet and just forward it back to me.
